GFR WEEKLY UPDATE

LOWLAND LEAGUE - NO GAME

DUE to East Stirlingshire being involved in a Scottish Cup replay, Gala Fairydean Rovers have no game this weekend.

The vouchers given out at the Elgin City cup tie on Saturday as part of a 2 for 1 deal will still be valid when East Stirling's

game at Netherdale is re-arranged so please hold onto them.

The next home game for GFR is on Saturday, November 5, when Spartans visit the 3G Arena.

2004 SQUAD

The under 13s travelled to Dunbar on Sunday and despite leading 2-1 midway through the first half a poor spell allowed Dunbar to score three goals in eight minutes to lead 4-2 at the break.

A small improvement followed in the second half but the damage had been done and further defensive lapses meant that Dunbar ran out 7-4 winners with the Gala goals coming from Kerr Johnston and a Damien Konowalski hat trick. Work to be done but some positives to be taken from the game, particularly Gala's refusal to give in. The team are at home to Steins Thistle this Sunday at the 3G Arena in the 3rd round of the Scottish Cup. Kick off is at 12.30p.m.

2001 SQUAD

The under 16s kept up their recent fine form with a 4-1 victory away to Cramond on Sunday. This Sunday they entertain Blackhall Athletic at the Public Park. Kick off time to be confirmed.

2000 SQUAD

The under 17s are at home to Musselburgh Windsor Blues in the Craig Gowans Memorial Cup this Saturday.
