The under 14s went out of the Scottish Cup in Glasgow going down 3-2 to Petershill Athletic onSunday. After going one down in the opening minute Gala equalised through Finlay Wheelans before taking the lead after half time with Gregor Collins finishing well.  The game turned when Gala missed a penalty half way through the second half and having failed to take other chances, it allowed Petershill to gain the momentum and score 2 late goals. It was harsh on Gala who had played well but ultimately was a lesson in taking your chances. No fixture this weekend

The under 15s raced into the lead after just 35 seconds in the Scottish Cup against Stonehouse from Lanarkshire on Sunday. But the visitors forced their way back into the game and eventually ran out 6-2 winners.  Dylan Curran and Gioacchino De Martino were the GFRFA scorers.

SCOTTISH CUP

Traditionally the club provides hospitality for Scottish matches involving youth teams. Thanks go to parent helper Eileen Miller for organising this for the under 13s and under 15s games. Both Glenbrae under 13s and Stonehouse under 15s brought a large number of spectators who made full use of the club's facilities on Sunday and respected them at all times. Good luck to both teams in the next round.
