GFR WEEKLY UPDATE



HOME TIE


GALA Fairydean Rovers have home advantage for a South Regional Challenge Cup tie this Saturday when Newtown Stewart visit the Netherdale 3G Arena. Please note the earlier kick off of 1pm.


Premier Club cards do not apply for this match.


The admission charges are £7 for adults and £4 concessions.



SEMI-FINAL


GOALS from Rodrigo Olival and Josh Lamb were enough to secure a 2-1 victory for Gala Fairydean Rovers Amateurs against Corstorphine Dynamo in the Scottish Amateur Cup on Saturday. There is another big game this Saturday with the visit of Hawick Legion in the Collie Cup Semi-Final.


Kick off on the Netherdale back pitches is 2pm.



2007 SQUAD


The under 13s game at Bonnyrigg was cancelled last Sunday and there is no scheduled fixture this weekend.



2006 SQUAD


The under 14s went down 3-0 away to Tynecastle FC Whites in a Division One fixture on Sunday. This Sunday the team are away to Lothian Colts in a league match.



2005 SQUAD


SIX goals from Kai MacRae were the highlight of the under 15s 9-0 win at home to Portobello in the Sportsassist South East Region Cup on Sunday. This Sunday Gala are away to Portobello CFA in the second round of the Scottish Amateur Cup.



2004 SQUAD


The under 16s recorded an 8-2 win away at Edinburgh South CFC in the Sportsassist South East Region Cup. The Gala scorers were McPherson(3), McGilveray (2), Gourdie (2), and Riddell. This Sunday the team is away to Edinburgh City in a division two match. Gala are looking for players born in 2004 to help strengthen the squad.



2003 SQUAD


The under 17s defeated Tranent 3-2 in the Michael Moran Cup at Netherdale on Saturday thanks to goals from Sam Patterson(2), and Finlay Dunsmore. This Saturday Gala are at home to Edinburgh City Whites in a Division Two match. Kick off at the Netherdale 3G Arena is 3pm.



WALKING FOOTBALL


There are no GFR Academy games at the Netherdale 3G Arena on Sunday due to the walking football tournament which is scheduled get underway at 12 noon.



HALF TIME DRAW


CHRIS Jack from Berwick was the winner of the Gala Fairydean Rovers 50/50 Half Time Draw at Saturday's match versus Berwick Rangers. Ticket number 08175 earned him £85.



LOTTO


There were no winning tickets in the Gala Fairydean Rovers Lotto Draw at the weekend. The numbers were 1, 9 and 14. The estimated jackpot next weekend is £600.



BONUS BALL


LAUREN Connolly won £25 in the Gala Fairydean Rovers Bonus Ball Competition with number eight.



SCOTTISH CUP


NAMES are being taken for the supporters bus heading to Dalbeattie on Saturday, September 21, for the opening round of the William Hill

Scottish Cup.The bus will depart from the Netherdale clubrooms at 11a.m. for the journey to Islecroft Park. Names should be given to any committee member or contact the club at the weekend.
