2004 SQUAD

In front of a large crowd at the 3G Arena, the under 13's overcame a strong Steins Thistle side from Bonnybridge 3-1 to progress to the 4th round of the Scottish Cup. Gala took the lead on 25 minutes with a fine Damien Konowalski finish before Paddy Beatt saved brilliantly from the spot to keep the home team ahead at the break. The impressive Tor McGillivray made it 2-0 shortly after the restart before Steins pulled one back after being awarded a second penalty. Konawalski proved a constant thorn in the side of the Thistle defence and added his second on 60 minutes to restore the two goal cushion. Steins pushed hard after this and only some some heroic defending from the back four of Dougray Seggie, Kerr Johnston, Aaron Milburn and Gregor Collins along with inspired goalkeeping from Paddy Beatt kept them at bay to the finish. Massive credit to the whole team who gave everything they had and showed fantastic team spirit. Full team : Paddy Beatt, Gregor Collins, Dougray Seggie, Aaron Milburn, Kerr Johnston, Cameron Riddle (Gary Flinn 50), Tor McGillivray, Callum Gray, Jack Niven, Damien Konowalski, Ross Moffat (Evan McConnell 40).
