2004 SQUAD

The under 13s went down to a 4-0 home defeat against an excellent Spartans team on Sunday. Despite missing a couple of regulars GFR were confident of causing an upset after their recent good form but found themselves struggling to find any rhythm and were outplayed for large periods by the slick and well organised Spartans side. There were good performances from Joe Charlton and Dylan Ellins whilst Kerr Johnston, Dougray Seggie and goalkeeper Paddy Beatt all put in excellent defensive displays. Next up is a cup tie at home against Peebles on Sunday. Kick off at the 3G Arena is 11am.

2003 SQUAD

The under 14s are away to Musselburgh Windsor Blues this Sunday in the Ian MacKay Cup. Transport times to be given at training.

2002 SQUAD

A thrilling match at the 3G Arena on Sunday saw the under 15s edge out Musselburgh Athletic Whites 5-4 in a LeagueCup. Gala started well in the first half and played some attractive football racing into a two goal lead. But the longer the game went the team retreated to hold onto their lead and were put under pressure at the end. But some great saves from goalkeeper Adamo Antonacci helped the under 15s hold onto an excellent win. The Gala scorers were Owen Renton(3) and Christian Temple(2). This Sunday the under 15s host Calary Park at the 3G Arena, kick off 12.30p.m.

The under 15s Colts are away to Edinburgh City Reds. Transport times to be given at training.

2001 SQUAD

The under 16s earned a hard-fought 2-2 draw away to Tranent Colts on Sunday. This Sunday the team travels to play Edinburgh South Colts. Transport times to be given at training.

2000 SQUAD

There is no scheduled fixture for the under 17s this weekend..
