GFR WEEKLY UPDATE


AWAY DAY

Gala Fairydean Rovers are off to the capital this Saturday for a Lowland League match away to Civil Service Strollers. With the possibility of two teams being relegated from the Lowland League this season, it is a huge match for both teams. A supporters bus will be running to this match departing from the clubrooms at 12.15am. Cost of the return journey is just £6.

The kick off is 3pm.

HOME GAME There is a local derby for stay at home supporters to look forward to this Saturday. Gala Fairydean Rovers Amateurs entertain Gala Thistle in a Border Amateur C Division clash. Kick off at the 3G Arena is 2pm.

2005 SQUAD

The under 13s went down 4-3 to Currie Star in a seven goal thriller at the 3G Arena on Sunday. The home side had several chances near the end but could not force an equaliser. The Gala scorers were Callum Marshall(2) and Kai MacRae.

2004 SQUAD

The under 14s ran out comfortable 8-3 winners against Edinburgh South CFC in their league clash at the 3G Arena on Sunday. Drawing 2-2 at half time thanks to goals from Finn Douglas and Dylan Ellins, Gala were too strong in the second half with further goals coming from Aidan Purves on his debut, Sam McClymont, Finn Douglas with his second and a fine hat trick from Finlay Wheelans. Next up is a top of the table clash with Longniddry Villa at home on Sunday. Kick off is at 12.30pm.

2003 SQUAD

It was always going to be a big ask for the under 15s facing the team top of the first division in a cup tie at the 3G Arena on Sunday.

The team worked hard but eventually Musselburgh Windsor ran out 9-2 winners. No game this weekend.

2002 SQUAD

The under 16s went down 8-0 away to Bonnyrigg Rose Pumas on Sunday. This team is looking for new players to bolster the squad. Players who were born on or after January 1, 2002, are welcome to come along to the training sessions on Tuesday and Thursdays between 6p.m. and 7.30pm. No game this weekend.

HALF TIME DRAW

The winner of the Gala Fairydean Rovers 50/50 Half Time Draw at Saturday's game against East Stirlingshire was Sid Little from Jedburgh who won £40.

LOTTO

There were no winning tickets in the Gala Fairydean Rovers Lotto Draw.The numbers were 12,15 and 16. That means the estimated

jackpot next week is £400.

BONUS BALL

The winner of the weekly Gala Fairydean Rovers FC Bonus Ball competition was Kenny Riddell with number 38 which won him £25.
