DERBY DAY

THERE'S another huge match at the Netherdale 3G Arena this Saturday when Hawick Royal Albert come calling. Vital Lowland League points are for grabs as Gala try to ease their way from the relegation zone. Premier Club cards apply for this match. Otherwise the admission prices are £5 for adults and £3 concessions. Kick off is 3pm.

CUP TIE

Gala Fairydean Rovers Amateurs host Highfields United in a Forsyth Cup quarter final tie this Saturday. Kick off on the Netherdale back pitches is 2pm. The Amateurs recorded a 4-1 win over Gala Thistle in the quarter finals of the Sanderson Cup on Saturday. Scorers for the home side were Jason McIntosh (2), Andrew Callow and Kieran Crawford.

PREMIER CLUB

The winners of the Gala Fairydean Rovers FC Premier Club draw for March were: Mike Henderson (£100), Jim Gray (£50) and Jim Cockburn (325).

LOTTO

There were no winning tickets in the Gala Fairydean Rovers Lotto draw at the weekend. The numbers were 4, 6 and 10. The estimated jackpot next week is £800.

BONUS BALL

The winner of the Gala Fairydean Rovers Bonus Ball competition with number 49 was Jack Allison who won £75.

2005 SQUAD

The under 13s defeated Arniston Rangers 5-0 away in the Colin Campbell Sports Cup on Sunday. No game this weekend due to the Easter holidays.

2004 SQUAD

The under 14s returned to action after a seven week lay off to book a semi final place in the Kenny McLean Cup after a hard fought 2-1 win at Leith Athletic Colts. On a difficult and bumpy surface Gala struggled to play with their normal fluency but instead ground out the win thanks to two Finlay Wheelans goals either side of Leith's equaliser. Best for Gala were Ryan Gibson, Jon McLean and Finlay Wheelans. No game on Sunday.

2003 SQUAD

The under 15s went down 8-0 away to Longniddry Villa on Sunday. No game this weekend.

2002 SQUAD

All the damage was done in the first half as the under 16s lost 7-0 away to Dunbar United Colts on Sunday. But the team worked hard in the second half to prevent any more scoring. No game this Sunday.
