GFR WEEKLY UPDATE

NO GAME

DUE to Selkirk no longer being in the Lowland League, Gala Fairydean Rovers have no fixture this weekend. But there are some big games coming up for the club, most notably a William Hill Scottish Cup first round tie against Highland League outfit Lossiemouth on Saturday, September 22. Gala will be hoping to make home advantage count and progress into the second round round of the national competition.

HOME TIE

GALA Fairydean Rovers Amateurs play Selkirk Victoria in a Collie Cup Quarter Final this Saturday. Kick off at the Netherdale 3G Arena is 2pm.

2006 SQUAD

The under 13s recorded a 12-1 victory away to Bathgate Thistle in the Scottish Cup on Saturday. This Sunday the team play their first ever game on the full size Netherdale 3G Arena when they entertain Edinburgh South in the South East Region Cup. A good home support would be appreciated. Cafe will be open selling hot refreshments. Kick off on Sunday is 11am.

The under 14s won 7-0 away to Currie in the opening round of the Inspiresport Scottish Cup on Sunday. This Sunday the team play North Berwick Colts in the Sportsassist South East Region Cup. Kick off at the Netherdale 3G Arena is 12.30pm.

2004 SQUAD

The under 15s triumphed 5-4 after extra time in a closely fought Scottish Cup tie away to Murieston United on Sunday. This Sunday the team is away to Melrose in the opening round of the South East Region Cup. Kick off time to be confirmed.

2003 SQUAD

After the cancellation of Sunday's Scottish Cup tie at home to Hutchison Vale due to referee unavailability, the tie has been re-arranged for this Sunday. Kick off at the Netherdale 3G Arena is 2pm.

50/50 DRAW

The winner of the 50/50 Half Time Draw at last week's match against Whitehill Welfare was David Hutchinson who won £38. The winner of Saturday's draw at the Civil Service Strollers match was jess Knox who collected £47.50.

LOTTO DRAW

There was one winner of the Gala Fairydean Rovers FC Lotto draw on Sunday. Lesley Drummond won £1,600 with the numbers 1, 4 and 8.

BONUS BALL

There was no winner of the Gala Fairydean Rovers Bonus Ball competition at the weekend as no one has number 50. That means there is a rollover £50 prize this weekend.
